FROM THE OTHER SIDE : Silver Nut Cake

I’m visiting family in the midwest and exploring the memories of my culinary heritage, aka going through grandma’s recipes. Some sources are unknown, only cryptic volumes and page number are noted.

* If they look familiar to you, please let me know so I can acknowledge the source.
Our family makes this cake pretty often, it’s a lovely light cake perfect for the times we sat at grandma’s copper oxydized green bistro set in the breezeway. Amongst card and board games, puzzles, and spoons stained with sugary tea, we’d laugh and concede the score.
